Six exciting Instagram features coming soon

We are probably not receiving the updates at the same time but here is what is coming. Since I am working on different accounts, I can see that Instagram is not upgrading everyone with the same new feature.

1 New Instagram Explore Page

The new Instagram Explore page with a larger frame for videos and thanks to an AI more relevant content for your taste. Plust the Explore Stories

With topic channels, you can be more intentional about how you navigate posts on Explore. When you open the page, you'll see a tray at the top with personalized channels. This includes a 'For You' channel, which has a mix of posts tailored to your interests. You'll also see channels on topics you might like such as Art, Sports, Beauty or Fashion - as well as a list of hashtags, giving you more ways to explore your interests. Now, when you want to get inspired by the latest fashion trends or discover a new travel destination, you can easily find posts you're looking for and follow those accounts or hashtags.

We're also giving you better ways to control what you see on Explore. You can browse through a variety of interests by swiping from grid to grid, or you can go deep into a specific interest by tapping on a channel and scrolling up. If you'd like to remove a topic channel, press and hold the channel and select 'Mute' from the menu. This sends the channel to the end of the tray, giving you the option to unmute it at any time.

In addition to showing you popular Instagram posts based on what you like and watch, the new Instagram Explore page will also let you browse content by interests via the new "channels" feature.

These topic channels will be based on your personal interests and tastes, so rather than just seeing content that Instagram thinks you'll like, you'll be able to pick and choose the content you engage with, whether that's "sports," "animal," or "nature."

In other words, users will have much more control over the content they see, and the new Instagram explore page will also make it easier for Instagram users to find and interact with your business on Instagram!

It looks like Instagram is currently testing the new explore page, here's a peek at what it looks like in action:

As you can see from the last image, you do not need to have lots of followers or like but only a high engagement as soon as you post.

2 Share Your Favorite Spotify Songs to Instagram Stories

Who hasn't published a screenshot of the music they are listening to?
Now, you can share your song with audio to your Instagram Stories and send it to friends. This new Stories sharing tool is available for both Instagram and Facebook.

3 Anti-Bullying Comments

Instagram was already filtering comments to prevent unpleasant exchanges with some users. Comming soon: a new anti-bullying feature that will delete offensive comments - automatically.

Go to Settings / Comment and add "Hide Offensive Comments" plus you can add your own with the manual filter. The manual filter is linked to your FB Page. So you can paste the list below on FB and it will be copied on IG.

4 New Direct Message (DM) Inbox

Before, you needed to clean up your DM Inbox regularly to prevent having unread message pilling up. You may have scrolled down several screens until you found the "unread message".

Now it's easier, you can select Inbox, Unread and Starred messages

Starred message for important groups / individuals.

5 Easy respond to comment back feature

Before you had to scroll until you found your comment and respond back.

Now to ease our life, Instagram place a blue hue background to help you to find yourself. Easier and quicker.

And the best for the end:

6 Instagramers will be soon able to video chat

During F8, Zuckerberg announced that Instagram will be launching its very own Video Chat, giving users the ability to talk privately with one or more people over a video call. Currently under test.

One of the most common problems I see with artists is that they make art randomly - where the creative flow brings them.
